How to Add an FTP Account in Plesk?

To create an FTP account in Plesk control panel, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to your Plesk control panel using your username and password.

Step 2: Navigate to Websites & Domains tab or icon and click on it.

Step 3: From the Websites & Domains section, locate the domain for which you want to create an FTP account and click on its name or domain.

Step 4: Scroll down or look for the FTP Access or FTP Accounts section. Click on it.

Step 5: In the FTP Access section, you should see an option Add FTP Account or Create FTP Account Click on it. In the form that appears, enter the following information:

  • FTP account name: Choose a unique name for the FTP account. This will be the username for accessing the FTP server.
  • FTP password: Set a password for the FTP account. Make sure to choose a strong and secure password.
  • Directory: Specify the directory or folder to which the FTP account will have access. You can choose the domain's root directory or a specific subdirectory.
  • Permissions: Set the permissions for the FTP account, such as read, write, or both.
Step 6: Once you have entered the necessary details, click on the OK or Create button to create the FTP account. The FTP account will be created, and you will receive a confirmation message.

Step 7: You can now use the FTP account credentials (username and password) to connect to the FTP server and manage files and directories associated with the specified domain in Plesk.
