How to Back Up a Database in Plesk?

To take a database backup in Plesk Control Panel, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to your Plesk Control Panel using your username and password.

Step 2: Once logged in, you'll see the Plesk Dashboard. Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.

Step 3: In the "Websites & Domains" section, locate the domain for which you want to take a database backup and click on its name.

Step 4: On the domain's overview page, scroll down and click on the "Databases" icon.

Step 5: In the Databases section, you'll see a list of the databases associated with your domain. Locate the database you want to back up and click on its name.

Step 6: On the database management page, you'll see various options. Click on the "Export Dump" button.

Step 7: You'll be presented with the Export Dump settings. Here, you can configure the backup options:

Format: Choose the desired format for the backup file, such as SQL or ZIP.

Tables: Select whether you want to include all tables or specific tables in the backup.

Data: Choose whether you want to include data, structure, or both in the backup.

Output: Specify the file name and location where you want to save the backup file.

Step 8: Once you have configured the backup options, click on the "OK" button to start the database backup process.

Step 9: Plesk will now create a backup of the selected database. You can monitor the progress on the database management page.

Step 10: Once the backup process is complete, you'll see a confirmation message indicating the successful creation of the backup file.
