How to Reset Admin Password in WordPress?

If you need to reset the password for the admin account of your WordPress installation, follow the steps below. You can use a similar process to reset the admin password for other scripts as well.

1. Login to DirectAdmin Access your DirectAdmin Control Panel using your credentials.

2. Open Softaculous Installer Navigate to the Softaculous Installer from your control panel.

3. Select WordPress In Softaculous, find and select WordPress from the list of installed applications.

4. Edit Installation Locate your current WordPress installation and click the Edit icon.

5. Locate the Admin Account Section Scroll down to find the Admin Account section.

6. Update the Admin Credentials

   • Enter the Admin Username for which you want to reset the password.
   • Enter the New Password in the respective field.

7. Save the Changes Click on the Edit Installation button at the bottom of the page to apply the new password.

Your WordPress admin password is now successfully changed, and you can log in to your admin panel using the newly set credentials.
